AK Steel International focuses on efficient use of materials and minimizes waste through cutting and reuse. When steel is used, processed and recycled correctly it can last for decades without any loss of quality. This is daily practice at AK Steel International, where:
- Materials are delivered in the requested quantities and sizes.
- Waste is minimized via our precise cutting services.
- Remaining materials are carefully sorted and re-used.
Remaining pieces are kept on stock for future orders and, if needed, can be recut into new sizes. This prevents unnecessary cutting of new materials or transport of surplus material. Materials that are no longer directly usable are sorted out and recycled in an environmentally friendly way with our partners. These scrap materials end up in production companies and are used as raw materials for new products.
